For UK families

Get their bag home without giving away their name.

Schools ask parents not to put a child’s name where a stranger can read it — because a stranger who knows a name can use it. But an unlabelled bag never comes home. SafeTap solves both.

  • No app to install
  • No tracking, no GPS
  • Contact details never on the tag
  • Made in Britain

A name label solves the wrong half of the problem

It gets the bag home, and it tells everyone who walks past your child what to call them. Primary schools across the UK publish the same advice: keep the name out of sight.

“A person they don’t know could call out to your child by the name they have read on their bag, and your child responds.”

What a finder actually sees

This is the whole page. Not a summary of it — the whole thing. No name, no school, no address, unless you switch it on yourself.

Every other label on the market makes you choose between getting the bag back and keeping your child’s name private. This is the page that refuses the trade.

How it works

Any phone. Nothing to install, on either side.

You decide what a stranger can see

Every one of these is a switch in your account, and you can change it after the tag is on the bag.

  • Off

    Their name

Off by default. A finder sees “this belongs to a child”, not who.

  • On

    The item

On by default, because it helps a finder know they have the right bag.

  • On

    A phone call

The fastest route home. Free plan shows your number; masking hides it.

  • On

    A written message

For a finder who would rather type than talk. No number needed either way.

Questions parents ask

What is SafeTap Kids?

SafeTap Kids is a UK NFC and QR tag for a child’s belongings. A finder taps or scans the tag with any phone and reaches a web page that lets them contact the family, without the tag ever showing the child’s name, school or address.

Why not just put my child’s name on their bag?

UK schools advise against it. A name on the outside of a bag lets a stranger call a child by name, and a child who is called by name may believe the adult is known to them. SafeTap gets the bag home without that name being visible to anyone.

Does a finder see my phone number?

On the free plan, yes: a finder sees the number you chose to publish. On a masking plan, no. Calls and texts are carried through a SafeTap number, so the finder never sees your real number and you never see theirs.

How much does SafeTap Kids cost?

A four-tag starter pack is £24.99, which includes the first year of number masking. After that, masking is £14.99 a year for the whole household, or £79 once for good. Single tags are £9.99. The free plan costs nothing and never expires.

Do I need an app?

No. Neither you nor the finder needs to install anything. The tag opens an ordinary web page in whatever browser the phone already has.

Does SafeTap track my child?

No. There is no GPS and no tracking of any kind. Nothing is recorded unless somebody actually taps or scans the tag, and the tag itself holds only a short web address — never your contact details.

What happens if I lose the tag, or someone misuses it?

You can pause or retire any tag from your account at once, which immediately removes the contact options from its public page. Every finder page also carries a link to report misuse.

Their name stays theirs.
